Tessa and Philip are good friends of ours and we are super excited about their wedding this November. We met up with them a few weeks ago to do their engagement session and somehow none of us realized how COLD it would be outside. But they were troopers and it was a great shoot.

Tessa and Philip are doing a candy theme for their wedding so we did a few candy shop pics at the studio. Aren’t they sweet?

I was invited to take a few pics at Kelly & Jay’s engagement party. These guys are so sweet, they even gave me cupcakes to take home to Rica! Looking forward to their winter wedding this December!

Sarah & Bryan Engagement

The day of Sarah and Bryan’s session we got up and it was raining…. total bummer. We thought we would have to reschedule, but Sarah (being the trooper that she is) said – nope let’s just go out there and see how it goes. Some how she made the rain go away for just enough time to get the shoot finished. It was crazy, as soon as we were done, it started raining again! Way to control the weather Sarah! =)

Christie & Martin Engagement

The good weather days seem to be few and far between this past couple of months. (It might snow on Friday?! Really?) But during Christie and Martin’s engagement shoot we had one of those few nice days. I arrived to the location a bit early and as I was waiting I saw a stylish couple come into the park. They turned a quick left and went to the other side where there was another photographer. Needless to say this was my couple and they had went to the wrong photographer first. Anyway after a good laugh we started the session. We ended up at Crush wine bar, which is their local hang out, to shoot a few photos there.

Carine & Eddie Engagement

We had a great engagement session with Carine and Eddie but first a little personal moment…

My friend Aaron threw out a good question to me last night: “Do you remember the day when you just took pictures because you loved doing it?” At first I felt like I was put on the spot and my first thought was to answer “I don’t know”…Then I thought about it a little bit more and you know what, it is everyday. I am not one of those photographers that takes nature or still life pictures because it looks pretty. I take photos of people because that is what I love to do. It is great job and every now and then I need to take a step back and think about how great it is.

Sooooo….. onto Carine and Eddie, we had a great time doing their engagement pictures at the studio and we took a TON of great photos. Thor (their dog) was a little wild but we had fun with him all the same. We also did a few pics with some of the crazy old farm equipment that is around studio since Eddie is from New Jersey and he wanted to get some pics with kind of a Texas, rustic feel. So here are the photos, enjoy!

Also we have revamped the blog again, and by we I mean Rica, so please let us know what you think and leave comments.
