Zach & Kim had their ceremony at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. The guys showed up a little early so that we could grab a few photos of them outside. The ceremony was in the beautiful Robb Chapel and had some great light coming in to highlight the couple. As soon as we finished the family shoots in the chapel we went back outside to grab some shots of the whole wedding party. The reception was at one of my favorite places, The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The reception was great, everyone was dancing and singing and I think Zach may have danced with every lady at the reception. He did so much dancing that he ripped his pants open (I know exactly how he feels) … anyway that did not stop him from partying.

I thought that I would do a post in all black & white to change it up a bit. Tell me what you think.

Check out the slideshow below for a few more photos from Kim & Zach’s big day.
Carine and Eddie were married at St. Simon & Jude Church in The Woodlands and had a reception at one of my favorite venues, The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. They had a very nice ceremony, but I have to say the best part was that we actually had a good amount of time between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception. So with the spare time we grabbed some shots of the happy couple outside. Many times at weddings we may not get that much of an opportunity to get some quality time with just the bride and groom, like we did with Carine and Eddie. In those situations, (and this is especially important for those of you reading this who are planning your weddings right now!) when we know we may not have a lot of time after the ceremony, a great option is to do a “First Look”. What is a “First Look” you ask? Well it is when we can capture that once in a lifetime moment of the bride & groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day….all of the excitement, emotion and beauty of that moment captured… all before the ceremony the begins. Now don’t freak out, I know that this is not traditional, but it really is such a great opportunity to get the best photos of just the bride and groom. At most weddings we may only have a limited amount of time after the ceremony to get ALL of the family and wedding party photos. Doing a “First look” gives the couple time to get some great photos in a more intimate setting and can actually relieve a lot of stress of the day….plus once family photos are done after the ceremony you guys can head straight to your reception and party with all of your guests! Anyway just my two cents.
So back to Carine and Eddie… their reception was a lot fun. Good music, dancing and some yummy desserts! As a first from all the weddings that I have done, they had belly dancer by the name of Sahira perform for everyone (I might have a small crush on her, don’t tell my wife). Also they had some Syrian treats, one called a birds nest made out of pistachios that was delicious, I partook in a few (Tina bring me some more!).
