Kelly & Jay | The Woodlands Wedding Ceremony & Reception

So here is the last post for Kelly & Jay’s awesome wedding. We finished up with the group photos outside the church before the sun set, and then it was off to the ceremony. The ceremony took place at Robb Chapel and it was a very romantic candlelit wedding. Afterward we headed to the reception at the always amazing Woodlands Resort. Kelly & Jay had a great band, Toast and Jam, who had everyone out on the dance floor!

Kelly and Jay decided to take a nontraditional route and see each before the start of the ceremony. Doing a first look is a really sweet way to share a few moments alone together on the big day and it is one of my favorite things since its gives us an opportunity to get some great portraits!

Kelly and Jay’s wedding was our last for 2010! First let me say what a great year it was. Thanks again to all of my clients and friends for everything. Now on to the wedding. I could not have asked for a better wedding to end the year with. There were so many great things about this wedding. — First we had a really cute couple that the camera loved. Second, they decided to do a first look which makes me very happy. Third, there was no rain even thought it was supposed to be a 60% chance. Fourth, they had a great band that kept the dance floor full for the whole night. And finally we got to work with our good friend and wedding cinematographer Aaron from 31Films. — Onto the photos… Here are a few pictures from the start of the day with Kelly getting ready at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Elly & JD Wedding – The Woodlands United Methodist Church

Elly and JD had their ceremony at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. This church is one of my favorites for two reasons; the chapel has huge windows which let great light in and it’s close to home. JD had warned me at their engagement session that he is not a big fan of PDA. So of course before the ceremony I had to tease him a bit by asking him what he was going to do when the pastor says “You may now kiss the bride”. After the ceremony we had some time do a portrait session with just Elly and JD, so we took the opportunity to do some photos outside. Also check out the pictures of the rings I got in the chapel…. these are some of my favorite ring shots!

The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Wedding – Kim & Zach

Zach & Kim had their ceremony at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. The guys showed up a little early so that we could grab a few photos of them outside. The ceremony was in the beautiful Robb Chapel and had some great light coming in to highlight the couple. As soon as we finished the family shoots in the chapel we went back outside to grab some shots of the whole wedding party. The reception was at one of my favorite places, The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The reception was great, everyone was dancing and singing and I think Zach may have danced with every lady at the reception. He did so much dancing that he ripped his pants open (I know exactly how he feels) … anyway that did not stop him from partying.
