Ashton & Anabella

Anabella is back and now she has a little brother….meet Ashton! He is a really sweet baby. All smiles through the session even though it was miserably hot out there!

While we were taking Ashton’s pics, Anabella decided that we needed every pine cone within reach. And then she taught us how to do a frozen face. Very nice!

Parker is One!

Parker is back! And he just hit a milestone birthday, the big ONE. Last time we saw Parker, he was all smiles from the start… this time around he was trying out a few more serious looks, but we still got still got some good smiles, especially when he got to ride his horse!

The Dale Family

This year Allison wanted to do a big family picture with her in-laws. She brought her family as well as her husband’s parents and sisters family. I think she was trying to test me with 4 girls under the age of 4. Do you know how hard it is to hold the attention of one child much less 4? I mean, I do have a great personality but I had to work really hard for this shoot! After the session was over I got to meet the cute 12 year old Hunter (the dog). So of course he had to get his photo taken as well.

Abbey & Ryan

Abbey and her husband Ryan came to the studio with their dog Turner for a session. They have been married for a few years and wanted to get some updated photos. Abbey is a natural in front the camera and you would think Ryan would be too with his sister being a photographer, but it a took a little to loosen him up. Turner was a bit of a handful, but I think that he was just excited to run around all the land at the studio.

The Clay Family

The Clay Family were my last official session for 2009 and it was a great way to end off the year. I met these guys a couple years ago and have had the opportunity to do a couple sessions with them already. This year the kids decided they wanted to do something special for their mom’s birthday and they surprised her with a family photo session…with the whole family (16 people)! It was a great surprise and a really fun session. The family braved the cold not only outside but in the studio as well. The Clay family was a hoot with everyone cracking jokes at each others expense.

The Rivera’s

Hope everyone had a great Christmas day! Now time to recover from all the festivities and get ready for New years! So we are back to work for a couple days to blog our last few sessions of the year. The Rivera’s came by for their photo session at the studio a couple weeks ago. They are a really sweet couple who are expecting their first baby in the new year. Congrats you two!

The Vanar Family

The Vanars were a referral to us from the Holloway’s. We did their family session at a cabin in the woods. I was all for it as I am always up for new locations. At first I was thinking it was going to be a tiny little cabin nestled in the woods. But, it was a nice house with a pond that was not far away. The whole area made for a nice backdrop. The session started a bit late because their daughter had 2 disasters to deal with. The first was that she woke up with an inner ear ache, as someone that recently had one I know it is quite painful. The second disaster was she only wanted to wear her Cinderella dress not her Christmas dress. So anyway we gave her a few minutes to relax and started the session. We ended up getting some cute shots and even some smiles after all.

Gunderson Family

I shot the Gunderson’s wedding a few years back as well as Jack’s 1 year pictures last year. So it was great to see them back again this year for a family session. They even brought along their dog Lola. Jack was quite squirmy but at least he wasn’t crying. Squirmy I can handle. Anyway we got some great shots out at the park.

The Pierce Kids

Tis the season for family portraits… well this session was not a full family portrait. These boys mom’s brought them out for a session as a surprise for her husband for Christmas. Hopefully he is not checking out the blog, Mr. Pierce if you are seeing this close your eyes now! The kids were normal boys throughout the shoot, pushing and wrestling, but we still got some great shots. We even took a little break the play with one of the neighbors frisbee catching dog, Summit (I think that was the dogs name).

PS: I went and saw New Moon with the wife (her decision), it was a little too melodramatic but it wasn’t half bad.
