Johanna and Joe had their wedding reception over at The Lasker House. The decor inside the house and outside in the tent was beautifully done by Darryl & Co. The reception was a lot of fun and they had a great band – Password – that had everyone on the dance floor all night!

I met Johanna through our mutual friend Holly. We shot Johanna and Joe’s engagement session in the Heights this summer, I think I lost about 20 pounds from sweating, but it was a great session none the less. Their wedding was a few weeks ago in Galveston, and I have to say I love October weddings because the weather was perfect out there. They got ready at Hotel Galvez so we did a lot of the pre-ceremony shots there.

I had the pleasure of photographing Kyra and Patrick’s wedding in Galveston. When they first told me that the wedding was going to be in Galveston in June, I gasped a little thinking about the heat, but luckily it was inside at a venue along the strand. We started the day with a few pictures at their hotel, which had just gone through renovations after hurricane Ike. From the hotel we walked over to The Roof Garden for the ceremony and reception. The place had a great view of the strand and great food from Carrabas…Yummy. The reception was really fun with good music from a great DJ…my cousin Marc. Congrats again to Kyra and Patrick.
