Weekend of Giving… October 10-11, 2009

So this October we’ve decided to take a weekend away to do something to give back.

If you know us, Rica & myself, we are big time animal lovers. Our dog (Cooper) is pretty much our baby. He goes to the studio with me everyday, just like he has a job to do himself. He clocks in everyday and is paid in doggie treats. =) So on Saturday October 10, we are doing a “Furry Friends Photo Op”. Bring in a bag of dog/cat food to donate to the Humane Society of Montgomery County and we’ll give your furry friend a 15 minute photo session and an 8×10 print!

If you don’t have a pet, no worries we have something for you too! On Sunday October 11, we will be participating in Images For A Cure. We will be doing 30 minute “mini-sessions” throughout the day and 100% of the session fees and 50% of all the package fees will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.

About Us…

I got together with my friend Joey of 31Films a few weeks ago to shoot this promo video. Joey just started shooting weddings using 16mm film cameras and was looking to do a test shoot and I needed a new bio section for my site so we thought this would be a great opportunity for both of us. Plus I love the look of film and I don’t think anyone wants to see me in HD…haha. So I’m not great about being in FRONT of the camera, guess that’s why I’m the photographer, but Joey did a great job of capturing us out on a session with a rockstar couple Tessa & Philip and my lighting guy extraordinaire Kevin Marlowe (thanks to all of you for braving the Texas heat for this shoot!).

Lululemon – Woodlands Ambassadors

If this post doesn’t make you want to workout I don’t know what will. Lululemon needed photos of their ambassadors for the store so I met Jennifer and Emilie, who work for Lululemon, at a couple of different places around The Woodlands for the sessions. First is Kelly the pilates instructor. She was a lot fun and had some crazy moves. Next is Scott… Let me start by saying they Scott is crazy. I worked out with Scott before my wedding and he helped me get into great shape. When it came time for his photos I was excited so we had to do something a little over the top. Last, but not least, is Indrani. She is a yoga instructor and life coach….very inspirational.
