Abbey & Ryan

Abbey and her husband Ryan came to the studio with their dog Turner for a session. They have been married for a few years and wanted to get some updated photos. Abbey is a natural in front the camera and you would think Ryan would be too with his sister being a photographer, but it a took a little to loosen him up. Turner was a bit of a handful, but I think that he was just excited to run around all the land at the studio.

Scott | Crossfit The Woodlands

This past summer my buddy Aaron with 31Films called me up to help them out with a shoot for our friend Scott. Scott runs Crossfit The Woodlands and needed a promo video to showcase what crossfit is. Aaron headed up the project with the help of Joey, Kevin (in the drivers seat) and me. At the start of the shoot I was the stand in for Scott’s running scenes, after all we are kind of built the same. The promo turned out pretty sweet, all the props go to Aaron for some great editing and Scott for being able to run and keep up with a car.

PS: Girl scout cookies are back and I may have bought the troops whole supply.

The Rivera’s

Hope everyone had a great Christmas day! Now time to recover from all the festivities and get ready for New years! So we are back to work for a couple days to blog our last few sessions of the year. The Rivera’s came by for their photo session at the studio a couple weeks ago. They are a really sweet couple who are expecting their first baby in the new year. Congrats you two!

Clint & Kristen

I met up with Clint and Kristen at the park for a quick session so that they can order holiday cards. We could barely fit them in with the busy holiday schedule. But we got to the park and got some really great light. During the whole session it was a pick on Clint day. He has been a family friend for as long as I can remember. This was my first time to meet his girlfriend Kristen and she was very sweet. We had a fun time with lots of laughs….. at Clint’s expense.

Aaron & Rachel

Aaron and Rachel were the third session for Images for a Cure. Rachel also came by the day before with their little min-pin Nina (she’s the one in the green collar with her tongue sticking out). These two will be celebrating their 1 year anniversary next month. I was actually there when they got engaged. We were out doing a photo session and Aaron surprised Rachel with the proposal mid-session. Such a cool moment to be able to capture. For their session, they wanted something a little different and since Aaron works at 31Films we decided to do some pictures with some of my old cameras. I think the old cameras matched them quite well. We even got an American Gothic feel in one of the shots. Thanks for viewing this post! And please leave a comment if you like!

PS: Aaron is the one that got me hooked on Crossfit. Well it has been almost a month since I have been there and I blame chocolate cream Oreos. They are so delicious and tempting.

Emily & Jonathan…and Perry

Emily and Jonathan were the second of six mini-sessions that we did for Images for a Cure. They came to the studio with their cute little pup Perry (I wanted to steal him for our pup Cooper). Now even though they don’t look old enough, they have already been married about a year. They are a great couple and made the session fly by with the great smiles and laughter. Jonathan and Emily – if you ever need some one to watch Perry, let us know!

PS: On a side note about dogs. Do not watch Marley & Me. It is a great movie, and was very sweet, but the end is a cry fest. I would like to think that I am manly but I have got to admit this movie was a little rough.

Alyssa – Anytime Portraits

Alyssa came to the studio for an anytime session. An anytime session is just for fun and to get some new updated portraits… (or just because I am awesome and they want to spend time with me). We started the session at the studio and then decided to head over to a park that I had not shot at in a long time. At the park everything was going great so I thought we should try a little pier nearby, and as we got closer we ran into a HUGE snake.
