Aline & Francisco Engagement

October 22, 2009

I met up with Aline and Francisco in Houston at Discovery Green park. The weather was crazy that week. At the beginning of the week it was wet and cold, then of course on the day of the session it was hot and muggy. After the park we walked around downtown and got some great shots with some of the old buildings. I had brought along a fellow photographer Troy Covey who wanted to try out a panoramic camera he had for fun. After downtown Troy showed me a cool field and we got some great shots with downtown in the back.

Aline and Francisco – thanks for braving the hot, humid weather with me!  Looking forward to the wedding next month!

Emily & Jonathan…and Perry

October 21, 2009

Emily and Jonathan were the second of six mini-sessions that we did for Images for a Cure. They came to the studio with their cute little pup Perry (I wanted to steal him for our pup Cooper). Now even though they don’t look old enough, they have already been married about a year. They are a great couple and made the session fly by with the great smiles and laughter. Jonathan and Emily – if you ever need some one to watch Perry, let us know!

PS: On a side note about dogs. Do not watch Marley & Me. It is a great movie, and was very sweet, but the end is a cry fest. I would like to think that I am manly but I have got to admit this movie was a little rough.

Miss Isabel

October 20, 2009

Isabel was the first session of the day for the Images for a Cure event.  We’ve met Isabel before and even saw her the day before the shoot since she brought her doberman named Raven in for the Furry Friends Photo Op… and every time we see her she’s a total ham!  When we saw her for the doggy shoot she wanted to pet our dog Cooper, and even gave him a treat from Raven’s treat bag… as she was leaving she told us that Cooper winked at her when she said bye.  It was very cute.  So we figured she would be ready to ham it up for her own photo session the next day. Well her turn in front of the camera came around and she was surprisingly shy!  Come to find out, that morning when she woke up, her front tooth had become VERY loose and I guess she was trying to keep it hanging on!  We did get some great shots of Isabel and her smile….and a few crazy faces towards the end too.  By the way- as soon as the session was over, she walked over to her mom and handed her the tooth that she just pulled out. Yup. Classic.
